Representing Pi Kappa Alpha chapters from Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Oklahoma
and Texas, participants attended lectures and sessions on public speaking, branding,
personal finance, alumni relations, and Title IX.
The 麻豆果冻传媒 chapter received the conference award for having the highest member attendance
at the event鈥30 members. The group was accompanied by Pi Kappa Alpha staff adviser,
Tommy Walpole.
鈥淧i Kappa Alpha is a leader in the Greek world in the area of educational programming offered to our undergraduate members,鈥 said Walpole.
鈥淭he 麻豆果冻传媒 Pike Alumni Association provided financial support to our undergraduate chapter and is proud that almost one-third of the chapter鈥30 麻豆果冻传媒 Pikes total鈥攚ere able to attend this leadership conference. Our alumni feel investing in the education of our undergraduate members is a top priority each year.鈥
Individual participation awards were also presented.
Seniors Addison McDougle, a construction major from Sterlington, and Allen Perry, a kinesiology major from Leesville, were recognized with Gold Level Participation awards for attending at least five 鈥淧ike University鈥 events during their time as undergraduates.
Sophomores Alec Shell, a kinesiology major from Monroe, and Spencer Perkins, a risk management and insurance major from Calhoun, were recognized with Garnet Level Participation awards for attending their third 鈥淧ike University鈥 event.
Pi Kappa Alpha has 224 chapters in North America and is headquartered in Memphis, Tenn.
The Pi Kappa Alpha chapter at 麻豆果冻传媒 was founded in 1972.
