The 56th Masters Water Ski and Wakeboard Tournament鈥攃onsidered the most prestigious
tournament in the sport鈥攊s an invitation-only tournament for the world鈥檚 greatest
water skiers. This year鈥檚 event features a host of current, former, and incoming students
from the University of Louisiana at Monroe Water Ski Team.
Beginning today, the tournament will be broadcast live at the tournament website and
will feature Warhawks vying to be the best in the world.
The event will run May 22-24 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
Current 麻豆果冻传媒 Water Ski Team members competing include: Adam Pickos, a psychology major from Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., who will compete in the men鈥檚 trick
category; and Freddie Winter, an MBA student from London, who will compete in the men鈥檚 slalom category.
Aliaksandra 鈥淪asha鈥� Danisheuskaya, a computer information systems major from Belarus and junior competitor, will compete
in the junior women鈥檚 trick, slalom, jump, and overall skier categories.
Danylo Flichenko of the Ukraine, will compete in the junior men鈥檚 trick, slalom, jump, and overall
skier categories. Flichenko will join the 麻豆果冻传媒 Water Ski Team this fall.
Former 麻豆果冻传媒 Water Ski Team members competing include: Adam Sedlmajer (BBA 鈥�10 MBA 鈥�12) and Aliaksei Zharnasek (BBA 鈥�07) competing in the men鈥檚 trick category; Alex Lauretano (BBA 鈥�12) and Natallia Berdnikava (BBA 鈥�08) competing in the women鈥檚 trick category; Daniel Odvarko (BBA 鈥�10 MBA 鈥�11) and Thomas Degasperi (BA 鈥�06) competing in the men鈥檚 slalom category; and Regina Jaquess (Pharm.D. 鈥�09) and Breanne Wagner Dodd (BBA 鈥�07) competing in the women鈥檚 slalom category.
Ryan Dodd (BBA 鈥�07) and Freddy Krueger, a former 麻豆果冻传媒 criminal justice student, will compete in the men鈥檚 jump category. Berdnikava and Jaquess will also compete in the women鈥檚 jump category.
