next head football coach, pending board approval, at a press conference tomorrow,
Tuesday, at 10:00 a.m. in the south end zone of Malone Stadium.
One of the most successful coaches in the NCAA鈥檚 FCS division, Viator has guided the
Cowboys to聽winning seasons in every year he was at the helm聽and is one of three head
coaches in school history to never post a losing season. He聽is widely known as one
of the most respected college coaches in the state of Louisiana. Coach Viator has
been a winner throughout his entire career.聽
He鈥檚 the only coach in Southland Conference history to have a winning season聽each
year in his career with a minimum of eight seasons under his belt. In his ten seasons,
Viator has compiled a 78-33 record for a winning percentage of .703. He鈥檚 recorded
a league mark of 54-18 (.750), has won four conference championships and made five
FCS playoff appearances, including a second round showing in 2013 and 2015.
