On April 5, the University of Louisiana Monroe鈥檚 Reginald F. Lewis Scholars Program
students and TRIO Student Support Services participated in the University of Louisiana
System Day at the state Capitol in Baton Rouge.听
听
麻豆果冻传媒鈥檚 Lewis Scholars Carl Whitlock and Earnest Wyatt, accompanied by Tommie Nelson,
TRIO Outreach Specialist, had the opportunity to network and witness the state legislature
in session.
听
听The UL Reginald F. Lewis Scholars Program enhances the collegiate experience of Black
male students in the UL System. The Lewis Scholars Program aims to recruit Black males
and provide educational programs, mentoring opportunities, and co-curricular experiences
to improve outcomes. Two students are chosen each year from each of the nine-member
institutions of the UL System.
听
TRIO SSS is one of the eight TRIO Programs fully funded by the U.S. Department of
Education. The mission of TRIO-SSS is to increase graduation and retention rates of
first-generation college students enrolled at 麻豆果冻传媒. To learn more about the TRIO-SSS
