“I am truly excited to make my Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ Directing debut with Crimes of the Heart", said Director, Steven Burnside. “It has been a joy working with this group of student actors for the first time in this role. I can't wait to bring this story to you, as an audience, and take you on a journey through the lives of the Magrath family in the small town of Hazelhurst, Mississippi.â€Ìý

This show is considered to be a dark comedy. While it is warm-hearted and quite funny in many moments, it deals with many serious subjects such as suicide, abuse, both mental and physical, alcoholism, and relationships. Each character commits their own "crime of the heart" at some point, as we all do, whether we realize it or not. What matters is how we react and deal with that crime, for ourselves as well as those around us.Ìý
