The Helicon takes student writers, editors, and staff, through the entire publishing process, from fund-raising to short story, essay, and poetry selection, to layout and design. The magazine and its contributors often win awards in writing competitions for undergraduate writers.

With financial support from the English Program together with outside fundraising, student editors publish and planÌýThe HeliconÌýannually. Gaining valuable experience in publishing, writing, marketing, and fundraising, these student editors create a print and digital version.Ìý
