Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ (Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½) Foundation is a non-profit tax-exempt corporation organized under the laws of the state of Louisiana and Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, as amended. Founded in 1961, the Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ Foundation supports the mission of Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ through a variety of endeavors. Gifts to the Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ Foundation provide scholarship opportunities for Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ students, research support of faculty and students, assistance with scholarly travel opportunities for faculty and students, facility enhancements, equipment purchases, and many other donor-directed initiatives.

The Mission

The Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ Foundation solicits, receives, and administers private gifts for the benefit of the University of Louisiana Monroe, its faculty, and its students. The Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ Foundation also supports the advancement of the university by acquiring immovable property for future acquisition by Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½.

Foundation Objectives

• To assist the university in attracting outstanding students by providing scholarship aid

• To provide funding to the university for the purpose of enhancing academic programs

• To assist the university in attracting and retaining high quality faculty through salary enhancements

• To sell, use, manage, lease, mortgage, or otherwise encumber immovable property for the future acquisition by the university through the state’s capital outlay budget.

Foundation Duties

• To sustain existing contribution levels

• To identify new opportunities for additional gifts

• To maximize the return on its assets

• To promote the accomplishments of the University of Louisiana Monroe
