Pharmacy Residency

Pharmacy Residency Program

A PGY1 Pharmacy Residency through University of Louisiana Monroe will afford graduating residents with the unique opportunity of having experienced the three pillars of a clinical faculty position – service, teaching and scholarship. Our programs emphasize the role of pharmacists as educators, while providing diverse rotational experiences at our partner institutions.

We have two PGY1 positions available. Our programs will operate concurrently with one resident based out of Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ COP’s main campus in Monroe, LA and a second resident based out of Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ COP’s New Orleans Regional Campus.

Benefits

Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ COP’s PGY1 residents will receive a competitive annual stipend. Residents will have a designated office space at each campus with a computer, free parking and a white coat.  A travel stipend will also be provided for travel to ASHP’s Midyear Clinical Meeting, LSHP’s Annual Meeting and a regional pharmacy residents conference in the spring to present their research project. In addition, health care benefits, paid time off and sick leave will be offered in accordance with Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½. Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ does observe, and close for, official state holidays.
