SLP M.S. Application Process

Applications are submitted electronically through the University of Louisiana at Monroe Graduate School at /gradschool/requirements.html.听 Click on the "APPLY NOW" link.

At the above link, you can apply to be admitted to both the 麻豆果冻传媒 Graduate School and the Speech Language Pathology Program.

Program Admission Requirements:

We are a test blind program and therefore, we do not require GRE scores.

Average GPA of accepted students: 3.5 on a 4.0 scale

For the University of Louisiana Monroe鈥檚 Speech-Language Pathology Master鈥檚 Program admission process, you are to submit a Letter of Intent. In no more than 800 words, your letter must address the topics below. Other aspects of your professional and personal development can and should be addressed as well. Standard formatting (12-point, Times New Roman font with 1-inch margins) should be used.

  1. What sparked your interest in the field of Speech-Language Pathology?

  2. Discuss your life experiences. How has your personal, professional, and extracurricular experiences shaped the type of person you are today?

  3. Speech-Language Pathologists need to ensure they are being culturally responsive to their clients in both assessment and treatment. How would you ensure that you were being culturally sensitive to your future clients and their families?

  4. What makes you a good prospect as an SLP graduate student at the University of Louisiana Monroe and after graduation as a practicing speech-language pathologist?
