The Master of Science (M.S.) education program in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Louisiana Monroe is a residential program thatÌýis accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, 2200 Research Boulevard, #310, Rockville, MD 20850, 800-498-2071 or 301-296-5700.
The Speech-Language Pathology Program is in the College of Health Sciences and offers both the B.S. and M.S. degrees in Speech-Language Pathology.
B.S. Mission Statement:ÌýThe B.S. program prepares students for graduate level study through rigorous theoretical and scientific courses. It is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the scientific foundation of the profession.
M.S. Mission Statement:ÌýThe Speech-Language Pathology program is committed to educating and training students to apply speech-language pathology knowledge and skills with diverse populations across a broad range of settings and the life span. The M.S. program strives to integrate didactic academic coursework with on- and off-campus clinical education experiences to prepare students for the workforce in a wide variety of settings to serve an everchanging society.

Undergraduate and graduate students enjoy interactive courses and personal attention from the faculty. Transfer and incoming freshman students are initially advised by the Student Success Center. After progressing to the upper level classes in the junior year, students are required to see their assigned Speech-Language Pathology advisor each semester.

The Kitty DeGree Speech and Hearing Center- Carol Nichols Ray Speech-Language Pathology ClinicÌýcontinues to serve individuals with communication deficits in the areas of articulation, language, voice, fluency, swallowing, and hearing. [more]
Faye O. Haddox Audiology Clinic will be used toÌýevaluate the hearing of individuals of all ages by a licensed audiologist. Upon completion of the Sugar Hall renovation, the clinic will be an integral part of the Speech-Language Pathology Program and the College of Health Sciences. Clients may be self-referred or referred by graduate student clinicians, physicians, family members, allied health professionals, or hospital/school personnel. Clients within theÌýCarol Nichols Ray Speech-Language Pathology Clinic may be referred due to failed hearing screenings, being under the age of 3 years old who cannot be screened by an SLP, and those with personal concerns of hearing loss. Deadlines for Admissions to Master's Program
The Speech-Language Pathology Master's Program accepts students 1 time per year for the fall Cohort.
Fall admission deadline is January 15Ìý
